Jessica Lora with Sean Hannity

Sean Hannity and Jessica Lora at CPAC

by Jessica Lora

I was sent by Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute to CPAC this year to help out at the CBLPI booth. It was so much fun! I'm so glad I had the opportunity to go especially during the election year. This was my first CPAC and I wasn't sure what to expect but it definitely surpassed my expectations.

Every time I turned around I was passing celebrities. Of course, I had to grab a picture. Here are some of my favorite pictures from CPAC.

Jessica Lora and Stacey Dash

Stacey Dash — I went to her book signing event. The first picture is me telling her about how much I enjoyed her Oscar performance and that I couldn't wait for her to speak at our Western Women's Summit.

Ironically, I ran into Stacey the next day, following her was a video camera crew. She approached me and asked me if would go over some lines with her from the movie Clueless for her Independent Journal video. I couldn't pass that up! It was so much fun, and I'm glad I got the opportunity.

I was also interviewed by CBLPI speaker Crystal Wright. She asked me questions regarding how I felt about proposed immigration plans.

One of the best things about CPAC was making lots of new friends and it was also a great way to network. Future Female Leaders representatives and me. I'm excited for their president, Amanda Owens, to be speak at CBLPI's Western Women's Summit!

Of course, there was some work to be done: Elissa and I working at the CBLPI booth. It was fun to tell the girls all about what we do at Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute.

The speakers were amazing! David Clark speaking on Criminal Justice reform:

The best part of all of CPAC was the CBLPI Woman of the Year luncheon. Hearing Congressman Marsha Blackburn talk on how to get better involved in politics and women's issues was truly inspirational. She gave us all great advice and answered many questions.

I had the chance to sit next to Lisa Daftari during the luncheon, who I'm excited to hear speak at our Western Woman's Summit.

I also got to meet CBPLPI 2015 Woman of the Year, KT McFarland.

All around, CPAC was the best experience! I'm so glad CBLPI gave me the opportunity to go. I'll never forget my first CPAC.
