March Conservative Women's Network
“ISIS’s Christian Genocide and U.S. Policy“
Nina Shea, Director of Hudson Institute’s Center for Religious Freedom, will discuss Christian genocide in the Middle East at the March Conservative Women’s Network luncheon on Friday, March 18.
Shea, an international human-rights lawyer for over thirty years, works extensively for the advancement of individual religious freedom and other human rights in U.S. foreign policy as it confronts an ascendant Islamic extremism, as well as remnant communist regimes. She undertakes scholarship and advocacy in defense of those persecuted for their religious beliefs and identities and on behalf of diplomatic measures to end religious repression and violence.
She was appointed by the U.S. House of Representatives to serve seven terms as a Commissioner on the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom. During the Soviet era, her first client before the United Nations was Soviet Nobel Peach Laureate Andrei Sakharov.
For reservations, please contact Camille Hart.
The Conservative Women’s Network is made up of over 1,000 women in the Washington DC area who are policy analysts, non-profit organization leaders, students, stay-at-home mothers, and more. Women gather to become informed on issues of the day, network with area professionals, and hear from conservative leaders at these monthly luncheons co-hosted with the Heritage Foundation. Most of the events are recorded and the videos of them can be viewed on our website within a week following the event.
