by Laurel Conrad.

Aryssa is in the class of 2018 at Yale University majoring in English.

She is from Ashland, Kentucky, and attended Paul G Blazer High School.

Aryssa is a conservative because she “values manners, morals, and intelligence.”

Aryssa’s favorite conservative lady is her favorite First Lady, Laura Bush.

Aryssa’s favorite quote is: “The power of a book lies in its power to turn a solitary act into a shared vision. As long as we have books, we are not alone.” —Laura Bush

The weirdest thing Aryssa has ever eaten is bear meat.

Aryssa’s personal motto is: “Be a Laura in a world of Kardashians.”

At CBLPI’s recent Capitol Hill Intern Seminar, Aryssa introduced her doppleganger, Marji Ross.

Aryssa’s guilty pleasure TV show is Love it or List It.

And finally, Aryssa found out about CBLPI and its internship at CPAC this past February, where she attended the Woman of the Year luncheon honoring KT McFarland.

Welcome to CBLPI, Aryssa! It’s difficult to be a conservative woman on campus — particularly at Yale — but you rise to the challenge with poise and grace.
