Kara Bell joined our team as a Public Relations Officer to advance the institute’s mission of promoting conservative values and elevating the professional futures of young women. Her involvement in the variety of opportunities through the Center has inspired her to embrace the true identity of a conservative woman: a woman who embraces her femininity while powerful and influential in her career, and who lets her accomplishments speak for themselves as she leads the next generation of female leaders.
Kara has committed her time communicating conservative principles on and off her college campus. She most recently worked with the communications team for the re-election campaign of former Wisconsin governor Scott Walker. Summers prior, Kara interned for Young America’s Foundation and volunteered as a counselor for the WI American Legion Auxiliary Badger Girls State program – a large, week-long summer program for high school junior girls to teach the inner-workings of local and state government and the importance of civic engagement. On campus, Kara led both a Luce Society chapter and a Young American’s for Freedom chapter, hosting speakers Ben Shapiro, Steve Forbes, Rachel Campos-Duffy and Allie Stuckey.
Kara has been published and featured in a variety of publications, including Red Alert Politics, The New Guard and the Badger Institute’s Diggings Magazine, and continues to provide a conservative perspective for a variety of media outlets.
Kara graduated in December 2018 with Bachelor of Arts degrees in political science and communication arts-rhetoric from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
