Senator Marsha Blackburn was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2018, serving the state of Tennessee. Previously, she represented Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District. She began her career in public service in 1995 as the Executive Director of the Tennessee Film, Entertainment, and Music Commission, after which she was elected to the Tennessee State Senate. Senator Blackburn is a member of numerous charitable organizations and is an active member of her church, Christ Presbyterian. She and her husband, Chuck, live in Williamson County, Tennessee, and they have two children and two grandchildren. She is the recipient of the Clare Boothe Luce Center for Conservative Women’s 2016 Woman of the Year.
