PROGRAM ASSISTANT

The Program Assistant will work with our Program Officer to support all of our programs. The Center is looking for a candidate with a strong work ethic and a positive demeanor. The candidate should be knowledgeable on conservative values and aware of the issues of the day. She should have a heart for our mission of educating and advancing conservative women. Some travel will be required. The office does not have a remote work option.

 

Key Responsibilities

•  Assist with social media design, planning, and posting.

•  Assist in planning and overseeing various events, such as monitoring our vendor table; preparing event schedules; explaining our programs to young women and donors; preparing documents and swag bags; and set up and breakdown of events.

•  Assist in video editing and creating video content for social media and internal use.

•  Assist Program Officer in maintaining and developing relationships with young women on college campuses across the country to promote activism projects and events.

•  Assist with writing letters and mailing items.

•  Maintaining inventory of program materials and purchasing items as requested.

•  Brainstorm ideas for upcoming events, programs, and new activism projects.

•  Manage and update database for record keeping.

•  Undertake other duties as assigned.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Characteristics

The ideal candidate must be committed to and enthusiastic about the Clare Boothe Luce Center for Conservative Women’s mission and programs. The candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree and at least one year of work experience. A candidate with good organization skills, an eye for detail, and a professional demeanor is key. The candidate should have a high degree of personal initiative and conscientiousness and the ability to work well individually and on team assignments. A quality candidate will not be afraid to ask questions and should be a fast learner. Personal campus activism experience would be a great plus! This position has room for growth for a candidate with a strong work ethic and proven track record of quality work! Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT MANAGER

This position is a key position in the organization. She will work closely with the President assisting her in every aspect of her work.  CBLCCW is looking for an upbeat and highly motivated individual with a positive outlook, and excellent interpersonal skills to join our team.  Candidate should be a quick learner, articulate communicator, and excellent writer.  The president leads a busy and very productive office where everyone on the staff has a heart for what we do to advance conservative women leaders.

Key Responsibilities

•  Work directly with the President on a variety of projects including with friends and supporters, and preparation of Foundation and other funding proposals

•  Serve as a liaison between the President and the outside world and when the President is traveling, take her incoming calls and keep in touch with her on the road

•  Plan and coordinate special events such as luncheons, lectures and multi-day conferences; some travel is required for events.

•  Initiate regular written letters and communications with organization leaders and review letters, articles, emails etc. before passing along to the President

•  Draft correspondence that comes to the President or the Center in general as appropriate

•  Plan and coordinate special events such as luncheons, lectures and multi-day conferences. Some travel will be required for events

•  Manage administrative tasks including mailings and communications with key allies and speakers

•  Assist the President with the production of a monthly report to the Center’s key friends, supporters and leaders, and manage the process of writing and producing the Center’s quarterly newsletter

•  Know or become extremely competent with Donor Perfect management software and keep contacts on Constant Contact up to date

•  Undertake other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Characteristics

The ideal candidate must be committed to and enthusiastic about Clare Boothe Luce Center for Conservative Women’s mission and programs and have previous office experience. Activism experience is a plus. She will have a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree and at least 3 years of full-time post-college experience working in a nonprofit or in a similar field.

The candidate should have a work history that demonstrates success in managing multiple projects simultaneously, excellent organizational skills, and a high degree of personal initiative and conscientiousness.  She needs an ability to work as a team member in a collaborative way and have high quality written and spoken communication skills.  She should be a fast learner and self-starter who completes all tasks, has the ability to complete work independently and has experience with managing timelines and schedules.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
