Webinar: Daughter of the Heartland, Senator Joni Ernst

May 21, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

During this time of year, we find many young women in our circle graduating, moving for internships, or starting a summer job. These days are often full of new challenges and experiences. It can be hard to find your footing in these new life roles. To help engage and encourage during this process, we would like to invite you to attend our webinar with Senator Joni Ernst. The Senator will be discussing her book and life experience with us on May 21. We know you will find it very inspiring.

Senator Joni Ernst has dedicated her life to her state and country, having served in the military for more than twenty-three years and now in the United States Senate. She received her undergraduate degree from Iowa State University, where she joined the university’s ROTC program. In 2003, Senator Ernst served as a company commander in Kuwait and Iraq for the Iowa Army National Guard, leading 150 Guardsmen during Operation Iraqi Freedom. In November 2014, she was elected as the first woman to serve in federal elected office from the State of Iowa and also became the first female combat veteran elected to serve in the United States Senate.

We can all learn lessons from the farm girl, turned military commander, turned United States Senator. There is a refreshing honesty in the Senator’s story that will give you hope for America’s future during a time when the outlook is bleak. She is a great example of leadership, strength, and grace – just what America needs to hear. Register today!
