Women across the Washington, DC area are invited to attend our upcoming Conservative Women’s Network luncheon featuring Erika Bachiochi on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, 11:45 to 1:30 pm at the Clare Boothe Luce Center for Conservative Women, 112 Elden Street, Suite P, in Herndon, Virginia. Priority will be given to high school and college students.
Bachiochi is a legal scholar specializing in Equal Protection jurisprudence, feminist legal theory, Catholic social teaching, and sexual ethics. She is a fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center and a senior fellow at the Abigail Adams Institute. She will discuss her book, The Rights of Women: Reclaiming a Lost Vision, which offers an original look at the development of feminism in the United States, advancing a vision of rights that rests upon our responsibilities to others. Inspired by the writings of Mary Wollstonecraft, The Rights of Women presents the intellectual history of a lost vision of women’s rights, seamlessly weaving philosophical insight, biographical portraits, and constitutional law to showcase the once predominant view that our rights properly rest upon our concrete responsibilities to God, self, family, and community.
Registration: Please register here by September 24th
There is no cost to attend. Seats are limited and will be reserved on a first come, first served basis. Registrants are subject to review.
