Virginia has been home to Cindy Rushing for over thirty-five years.  She enjoyed being a military wife while her husband served twenty years as a naval officer. Married 41 years, they are parents to three sons and one daughter. Their daughter had the pleasure of being an intern at Clare Boothe Luce while she was in college.  Cindy knows from personal experience the positive influence that CBL has on educating, training and mentoring  our young women with conservative principles.

Cindy had been a frequent attendee at the Conservative Women’s Network luncheons long before joining the CBL team in 2013 as a Development Officer.  These luncheons are a great outreach to women in the Washington, DC metro area interested in hearing from leading conservative women on current issues and events.  Cindy believes strongly in the  Institute’s programs to educate women of all ages with conservative principles.  In 2016, she became Development Director.

Cindy and her husband led the Clifton Chapter of the Virginia Liberty Project, a group focused on studying and promoting Constitutional principles in the Commonwealth.  She is a founding member of the Republican Women of Clifton, and serves as a member of the Board of Governors of the Old Dominion Cotillion.  Cindy enjoys being involved with political action groups, participating in book clubs, cooking, growing orchids and especially being a grandmother.
