Gayle is an attorney, political analyst and columnist with an insider’s view of Washington, D.C. She received her B.A. and J.D. from the University of Virginia, where she served as an editor of the Virginia Journal of International Law, considered among the world’s most influential international law journals.
She is co-founder and partner of the law firm Shafer & Trotter based in the metro D.C. area that advises entrepreneurs, small businesses and individuals in business, estate administration, estate planning, taxation and trust matters. She has an audio/video podcast called The Gayle Trotter Show: RIGHT in DC and regularly appears on TV news and radio programs.
Gayle resides in Washington, D.C. with her husband Joel Trotter and their six children.
