The Institute has been producing its annual Great American Conservative Women calendar for more than a decade.
Some years we’ve chosen to have a bit of fun. The 2008 edition features ‘Curler Girl’ reading an imaginary ‘conservative’ women’s magazine — the kind of magazine one might find at the grocer’s check out — filled with articles that conservative women might really enjoy. In 2009’s Pretty in Mink edition, we went mid-Century retro with the ladies in hairstyles and makeup of that era.
Other years, we’ve paired beautiful scenes of our great land with some of the many witty quotes of Clare Boothe Luce, or we’ve captured the calendar ladies in their free time doing the things they enjoy most.
In all years, the calendar has highlighted courageous women warriors in the conservative movement, from columnist Michelle Malkin to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to Miss America Erika Harold.
We hope you enjoy the look back.
